Thank you for helping us support the Woodlawn Writers Corps!
The Woodlawn Writers Corps is a collective of more than 700 students at Avondale Elementary, Oliver Elementary, and Putnam Middle School. Every week during the school year, volunteers from the Desert Island Supply Co. facilitate in-school creative writing workshops for Corps members.
Not only do tutors in the Writing Center want to encourage and cultivate a love of writing in young students, some of them volunteer with the Woodlawn Writers Corps and love the creativity, passion, and involvement the program ignites.
